Amazon Shopping Cart and Checkout Still Down Hour Later

UPDATE: About one hour later from initial reports of the outage, and Amazon users in the US are still seeing “Dogs of Amazon” error messages when attempting to load their shopping cart and then checkout. Don’t remember the last time Amazon.com’s shopping cart was down for this long — normally letting you give them your money is a core ethos at Amazon, I thought!

To be fair, these are frickin’ cute dogs, but it’s a Saturday and people have online shopping to do.

By the way, earlier today 200+ companies were reportedly hit by a ransomware attack, perhaps this Amazon outage is related in some way?
