With 279 electoral votes to Trump’s 214 votes, Joe Biden has secured the Presidency.

Rather than inviting any more partisan division — as a nonpartisan news organization comprised of people who voted for Trump, and some people who voted for Biden, and some who didn’t vote at all in this cycle… we congratulate Joe Biden and Kamala Harris on their hard won 2020 election win and look forward to covering their achievements over the next four years.

If the popular vote were overwhelmingly in Trump’s favor, contesting the results might make strategic sense. Yet Biden/Harris won the popular vote also.

This was, in large part, a referendum on the Trump administration’s handling of the COVID19 surprise pandemic.

And, he never restored the free speech of many of his supporters. That’s what sticks in our craw.

He never opened an investigation into the people he spent four years complaining about.

He never reformed the CIA or the State Dept.

He never reformed the Federal Reserve.

And, ultimately, all that complacency cost Trump with voters.
