Where To Catch Today's Blue Angels / Thunderbirds COVID19 Flyover

The US Navy’s Blue Angels and Air Force’s Thunderbirds — performance fighter jet teams — will be performing an epic flyover of several major American cities hit hard by coronavirus COVID19 infections, and economic malaise as a result. Here’s where and when to catch them in the sky today:

Washington, DC — 11:30am begins

Baltimore, MD — 11:30am begins

Atlanta, GA — 1:35pm begins

The Blue Angels (US Navy) and Thunderbirds (US Air Force) have teamed up for an incredible show slated to begin across the Northeastern United States later this morning.

What is the purpose of the flyover? It is to support COVID19 healthcare workers and victims, and the show, which will use no additional taxpayer funds, as the pilots involved need a minimum number of flight hours each year to remain active, and these shows help satisfy those flight hour requirements — they’d be flying, in other words, regardless.

“What we are doing is paying tribute to our front-line health care workers confronting COVID, and it's really a signal to all Americans to remain vigilant during the outbreak,” President Trump said of today’s scheduled air show back on the 22nd of April.

Enjoy!
