WATCH: George Floyd Protesters Attack CNN Atlanta Building, Smash Windows

A seasoned media cynic could say CNN knew there was a possibility with their wall-to-wall coverage of the tragic George Floyd killing, there could be backlash — but what CNN evidently did not predict was that the protesters its coverage partially motivated to action have, apparently, chosen CNN’s downtown Atlanta, Georgia headquarters as a regional target for expressing their anger.

As shown in the linked footage below, CNN’s building was defaced and vandalized by an angry group of protesters, who then proceeded to throw objects at the ground-level windows of the building, succeeding (it appears from the clip) in breaking the thick windows down.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution describes the current situation in downtown Atlanta as “chaotic.”
